Summary

The building against the remaining north wall of the original farmhouse was built as a bakehouse in the later 19th century. It is single storey building of stone rubble with a large fireplace in the north wall with a large brick chimneystack and a brick floor. The lean-to roof structure is a 20th century replacement. Now known locally as 'the slaughterhouse'.

The building against the remaining north wall of the original farmhouse was built as a bakehouse in the late 19th century/early 20th century. It is not shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey map but appears to be on the 1905 map. It is a single storey building of stone rubble with a large fireplace in the north wall with a large brick chimneystack and a brick floor. The lean-to roof structure is a 20th century replacement. Known locally as 'the slaughterhouse', which presumably refers to its last use.
