Name:Hut 4 in settlement on Throwleigh Common

Summary

A subtle circular bank within a corner formed by two reaves joining obliquely. It has a level interior and a diameter of 10.4 metres. There is a slight crescentic scarp forming the upslope side of the hut. Very little stone from the walls is now visible.

Butler's hut 4. One of four large huts set along a 'street', this hut measures 8.9 metres in diameter.

Site visited 4/07/2017. Plotted using GPS (SX65738 90929). Not as densely vegetated as surrounding land. Centre of hut circle easily visible. Situated on prehistoric street of hut circles.
