Full description

Hut circle '4' of 8.9 metres diameter is one of four large huts set along a 'street' running through the settlement. It is located in the north-west corner of a rectilinear field within 'Throwleigh Common settlement'.

Hut 4 SX 6573 9093
A subtle circular bank within a corner formed by two reaves joining obliquely. It has a level interior and a diameter of 10.4 metres. There is a slight crescentic scarp forming the upslope side of the hut. Very little stone from the walls is now visible.

Site visited 4/07/2017. Plotted using GPS (SX65738 90929). Not as densely vegetated as surrounding land. Centre of hut circle easily visible. Situated on prehistoric street of hut circles.
