Summary
Milestone on the north side of the road to the west of 'cherrybrook hotel' erected c1772 & inscribed tavistock 9 miles & moretonhampstead 11. A survey in 2003 found the 50cms high small stone in good condition but with a faint legend. The stretch of road from yelverton to princetown & from princetown to moretonhampstead known as the 'trans dartmoor route' was built & maintained jointly by the tavistock & moretonhampstead trusts in 1772. The boundary of the trust seems to be close to the 'warren house inn' (jenkinson).

Milestone on the north side of the road to the west of 'cherrybrook hotel' erected c1772 & inscribed tavistock 9 miles & moretonhampstead 11. A survey in 2003 found the 50cms high small stone in good condition but with a faint legend.
