The location of a quarry is indicated by the field name 'Bottom and Lime Pit' within plot 268 on the Axmouth Tithe Map of 1842. The site of a large quarry is labelled and illustrated on the First Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. The quarry is also illustrated on the Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, but is now labelled as an 'Old Quarry.' The quarry is not visible on the Ordnance Survey Master Map.
