Summary

Vis=25/11/2003 (marcus batty) two related runs of trenches seen in rough ground between the south end of leas foot sands and golf course just n of narrow footpath which runs e-w. The first trench runs for approx.15-20m initially n-s and then curves in a semi-circle to the east. It starts approx.3m north of the footpath and 5m east if its junction with cp. Further east along this footpath, a gap in the bank filled with courses of dry stone marks the beginning of the second trench. This runs for approx.20m first n-s and then curves in a semi-circle west. It lies a little above the first trench. The trenches are c1.5m deep at their maximum and c2m broad (batty).
