Summary
Near the modern road. The hut is cut into the slope with a 1 metre high scarp on the western side. Approximately 30% of the inner wall skin survives in the form of edge set blocks of granite. The diameter is approximately 9.4 metres and surviving sections of bank are 2.5 metres thick.

Two of a group of 12 hut circles on Throwleigh Common. Huts J and K.

At SX6598 9070. Hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement within a coaxial field system on Throwleigh Common. Diameter 8.7 metres. Double orthostat wall 2.1 metres wide, 1 metre high. Internal area 59.41 metres. A 140 degree gap represents the site of the doorway which has been widened to 2.4 metres. An edge set stone on the south-west side of the gap may represent one of the original sides of the doorway. Inner face in the east part of the hut is particularly well preserved. Dense bracken and gorse cover.

Butler's hut 16 has a short length of wall attached to it; probably once part of the field system. Hut measures 9.6 metres in diameter.

Site visited 4/07/2017. Plotted using GPS (SX65992 90711). Area was densely vegetated and highly overgrown with bracken. Difficult to gain access to centre of circle. Located near to a road.
