Vis=2003(ea)gravel pit situated on north side of barrow site 1 shown on modern os 1:25000 map as ‘pits disused’ and on os 1891 1:10560 map as ‘old gravel pits’. Dimensions c30m n/s, c 30m e/w and c 4-5m deep (estimated). Spoil heaps on north and west sides covered with gorse (ea).

Dimensions circa 30 metres north-south, circa 30 metres east-west and circa 4-5 metres deep (estimated). Spoil heaps on north and west sides covered with gorse. Bowl of quarry covered with bracken. Situated on southwest facing slope on western edge of road.
