Curving linear quarry aligned approximately east-west, circa 18 metres long by 6 metres wide by 3–4 metres deep. Located northwest of entrance to car park to south of Woodbury Castle. Open tree cover within and surrounding feature. Feature may be a gravel pit as there is an ‘old gravel pit’ depicted further to the west on the Ordnance Survey 1891 1:10560 map (Sheet 93NW), although the feature itself is not shown.
