Full description

Exeter Archaeology, 2003, East Devon Heathlands Archaeological Survey, Part 2: Gazetteer, 4, Site No. 13 (Report - Survey). SDV101648.

Ditch or trackway located to west of Woodbury Castle on north-facing slope of hill. Up to 1.75 metres deep by circa 3 metres wide at top edge. Northern end at grid reference SY 0315387300. Southern end traced to grid reference 0313087248, after which it disappears into high gorse. Feature filled with gorse/grass. No features on Ordnance Survey 1891 1:10560 map (Sheet 93NW) in this position.

Ditch or trackway located to west of Woodbury Castle on north facing slope of hill. Up to 1.75 metres deep by circa 3 metres wide at top edge. Northern end at SY 03153 87300. Southern end traced to SY 03130 87248, after which it disappears into high gorse. Feature filled with gorse/grass. No features on the Ordnance Survey 1891 10:10560 map in this position.

In area of fairly dense vegetation. Appears to be under no threat from foot traffic. Avoid damage during any vegetation clearance.
