Exeter Archaeology, 2003, East Devon Heathlands Archaeological Survey, 8, Part 1; 11-12, Part 2: Gazetteer, Site No. 42 (Report - Survey). SDV101648.
Bank marking Aylesbeare/Harpford (now Newton Poppleford and Harpford) parish boundary. At grid reference given, to north of trackway, bank 2 metres wide by 1 metre high with ditch on east side 1 metre wide by 0.5 metre deep. Some mature trees on bank. Further south at grid reference 0591790007 bank visible to north of an unmade trackway, however, along the line of the trackway it has been removed or eroded. Bank not visible in area to south of trackway which is under dense gorse.
