Full description

Site of two small adjoining buildings shown on os 25" (1880s) map to the south of the field boundary. The eastern building is present on the 1841 Tithe Map. A small square building to the east is also present on the 1841 Tithe Map. Two small adjoining buildings to the north have also disappeared from modern maps. The boundaries shown on the Tithe Map were extant in 2004 when the area was proposed for residential development.

Excavation in 2005 by Exeter Archaeology prior to development found evidence of agricultural land use of the site with possible tenement plots to the north & a spread of slag based industrial waste was recovered to the west.
