Unnamed shaft cut into ‘philip’s lode’ open to a depth of 5m. A deep excavation has been carried out 2m to the west covering an area 12m x 6m. On the north side of a large spoil heap to the west is a collapsed adit opening 0.75m high x 1m wide at sx43727253 with a smaller opening 0.4m diameter to the east (buck).
