Summary

Site of a long building shown on the archive maps on the south side of the chimney. The northern half of the building may have been the ‘miner’s dry’ & the southern half may have housed the carpenter’s shop or smithy. A walled yard adjoined the western side of the building with a further building on the western side. The 2003 survey found the chimney no longer visible & only a 8m section of the eastern wall of the northern half of the building remains c2.5m high x 0.45m wide (buck).
