Site of a water wheel & associated flat rod crank pit shown on the 1867 survey plan. The 1867 lodes map & the os (1884) map also indicate these features. The flat rod appears to have been the power source to pump or wind ore from ‘gard’s shaft’. The survey in 2003 found no evidence for this site (buck).
