Summary

Site of a small building 2m x 1.3m shown on the 1867 & 1884 maps. The survey in 2003 found remnants of the north, east & west walls up to 0.5m high x 0.45m thick & an entrance on the south side. The interior was full of rubble from the collapsed walls. Another small building is shown on the 1867 & 1884 maps at sx43447186 on the south side of the pumping wheel pit which may have been the crank pit housing. The survey in 2003 found a number of small buildings on platforms cut into a bank retained by a wall the building was 2m x 3.2m with walls up to 2.3m high. The site also includes a masonry plinth & had been reused (buck).
