Adit shown on the 1867 maps but not on the os (1884) map. ‘deep adit’ was cut along the ‘impham lode’ which extends into the ‘wheal russell sett’. The survey in 2003 could not locate the adit portal which was described in 2000 as a 2m high x 1m wide opening at the top of a steep rock filled gully (buck).
