To south of the road are two parallel rectangular excavated trenches, aligned east-west, separated by remaining baulk. Each area measures circa 50 metres long by circa 5 metres wide by circa 0.75 metre deep. Weathered vertical sections, except at western ends, which are sloped. Trenches may represent linear feature shown on 1946 aerial photograph related to World War Two activity (World War Two army camp lay to south, see site 69). Further features to east (see site 58) may also be related. Area covered in gorse and heather.
