Small gravel pit depicted on Ordnance Survey 1891 map off southeast corner of reservoir. Pit terraced into east hill slope. Up to circa 5 metres deep by circa 25 metres east/west by circa 35 metres north/south. South end of pit cut by raised trackway to reservoir. Base of quarried area now used as car park for visitors to reservoir.
