Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Trackway depicted.

There is a trackway aligned east-west across Harpford and Aylesbeare Commons which may be of early date. The track is depicted on the Harpford Tithe Map. On the Ordnance Survey 1:10560 1890/1891 maps (81SE/82SW) a route can be traced eastward, continuing from the trackway on the common, via footpaths and roads, to the ford at Harpford. There is a documentary reference to Harpford Bridge in 1259.

There is a trackway aligned east-west across Harpford and Aylesbeare Commons which may be of early date. The track is depicted on the Harpford Tithe map. On the Ordnance Survey 1891 1:10560 maps, a route can be traced eastwards, continuing from the trackway on the common, via footpaths and roads, to the ford at Harpford. There is a documentary reference to Harpford Bridge in 1259. Not visited. Could include in interpretation of trackways/routeways across the commons.
