Dyer, M. J., 2004, Evaluation of proposed extension to Heathfield Quarry, Sandygate (Report - Evaluation). SDV319388.

Evaluation of the proposed quarry extension at Sandygate included the excavation of four trenches and showed that most of the area had been reduced by earlier quarrying activity. Quarry waste had been spread over the area and also heaped in mounds and linear banks probably in the 20th century.
