Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 2004, Summary Archaeological Assessment of the Proposed Site of the new Primary School, Halwill Junction, 7, 9 (Report - Assessment). SDV1968.
A series of small fields probably marks the site of the settlement of 'West Stonequarry' shown on OS 2" drawing of 1803-7. The current 'Stonequarry Farm' is shown as 'East Stonequarry' on the 19C map. The date of West Stonequarry has not been determined, but it may be a medieval or post-medieval settlement.
