Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 2002, Archaeological Assessment of Tottiford to Newton Abbot Trunk Main, 11 (Report - Assessment). SDV281233.
The Moretonhamstead Branch railway was constructed on an embankment on this section which overlay the Haytor Granite Tramway abandoned in 1858. The railway was closed to passengers in 1959 but this section was retained to serve the oil terminal at Heathfield.
