Anonymous, 1496, Translated from Latin Deed - Document No 37900, 37900 (Unattributed Sites and Monuments Register Entry). SDV320158.

'Le Markett Place' was mentioned in a document of 1496 as being to the east of the former church house. A 'high way' led from the cemetery of 'Clyston' to the market place.
