Full description
English Heritage, 1961, Ashprington, LBS No 100911 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV320170.
Lower Washbourne Barton was formerly a farmhouse of 17C or earlier. The house was remodelled in the late 17C & mid 18C & extended in 19C. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble under a slate roof. The original house was probably a three room cross passage or through passage plan. The house is a long asymmetrical two storey building.
