Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 44-45+Fig 38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Channels, pits & spoil dumps to the east of the stream from SX41457435 southeast to SX41507422 charcteristic of stream working that preceded post-medieval attempts to find & work surface outcrops of tin & copper. The activity may have occurred in the medieval period but was probably reworked in 18C when water powered stamping mills were sited in the area. Other details: Site 7.
