Full description
Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 45-46+Fig 8,13,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.
A working area or building platform located to the northwest of Adit Shaft is shown on 1867 lode map at Wheal Maria mine but not on 1884 OS map. The survey found an area excavated into the slope 10m long x 6m wide with a dry stone retaining wall up to 1.2m high. Remnants of north & south walls were also visible. Other details: Site 9.
