Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 46+Fig 8,13,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

A building is shown on 1867 lode map at Wheal Maria mine with an associated enclosed area. The survey found evidence of a low bank/wall 0.3m high x 0.4m wide following the outline of the yard also shown on OS (1884) map. The site of the building was also identified with an excavated area to the west 9m x 6m x 1.5m deep & aligned north to south. Other details: Site 10 + 10/1.
