Full description
Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 47+fig 8,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.
(Old) Engine Shaft shown as Old Shaft on the 1867 map & mentioned as Engine Shaft belonging to Wheal Maria mine. The survey found a granite marker denoting the site in a shallow depression c7m to the west of the stream. Other details: Site 12.
