Full description
Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 55+fig 13,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.
Site of a mine building at Wheal Maria shown on the western side of Gard's Shaft (see PRN 3876) on the 19C maps. It may have contained a steam winder/capstan to remove ore from the working areas of Main Lode. The survey found a rectangular site c1.2m deep but no upstanding remains. Other details: Sites 32.
