Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 56+fig 4,7,13,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Building added to a small complex of mine buildings first shown on a 1848 map & labelled 'Stores, Yard and Timber Yard'. It was extended by 1857 & reported to have been a wagon shed. The survey found a long narrrow stone building with a timber eastern gable & a slate roof. The western gable end was missing. A building which may have been built by 1848 is shown on the 1867 map to the southwest as a domestic of office building. This building was & the adjacent store or barn were demolished c1990.
