Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey (Cartographic). SDV848.

Site of a small semi-circular feature 7m long x 4m wide shown on OS 25" (1880s) map against the west side of the field boundary.

Site of a possible signalling platform shown on 19C maps which may have been used during the operation of sluices in leats & reservoirs at Wheal Maria mine. The survey found a round stone feature 0.75m high of unknown function with four small steps 0.47m wide cut into the southern side. Other details: Sites 47.
