Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey (Cartographic). SDV848.

Site of a small rectangular building c5m x 3m shown on OS 25" (1880s) map at the end of a track from Wheal Maria mine buildings.


Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 62+Figs 4,13,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Site of a building shown on 1848 map as the 'Powder House' at Wheal Maria mine. The survey found the building cut into the west facing slope with retaining walls 4.5m long to the north & south. An internal wall 0.6m high had a possible doorway in it. Other details: Sites 48.
