Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 64-65+Figs 13,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Site of two dressing floor buildings shown on 19C maps at Wheal Maria mine at the above NGR & at SX417117388. The survey found remnants of walls surviving to a height of 0.3m but no extant reamains of the buildings. A dressing floor retaining wall c14m long x up to 2m high was identified running from SX41707389 to SX41737390. Other details: Sites 52, 52/1 & 53.
