Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 78+ Figs 14,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Site of dressing floor buildings, an ore floor & three settling ponds at Wheal Fanny mine shown on the 19C maps. The survey found no evidence of the buildings apart from a rubble strewn flattish area. The ore floor to the north at SX42167370 was represented by a cobbled area 9m wide cut into the hill slope with a 4m high bank. The three settling ponds to the east at SX42217369 were all visible with the banks broken in various places. Other details: Sites 80, 81 & 82.
