Site of a square building shown on OS 25" (1880s) map between the track & the leat to the northeast of Eastern Shaft.

Rectangular building shown on the 19C maps which was either a house or an office at Wheal Fanny mine. The OS (1884) map shows a smaller square buidling at the site. The original building may have been a row of four mine workers cottages with only one remaining in 1884. The survey found a banked area of rubble along the northern boundary which may represent the remnants of a revetment wall. A possible air shaft is located in a raised area to the east of the building with a depression 2m x 2m x 0.5m deep. Other details: Site 86.
