Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 90+ Figs 8,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Series of rectangular ponds connected to the leat (see PRN 56111) & running north to south from SX41537328 to SX41617306 with a hard 'standing' area to the west. The function of these features shown on 19C maps is unknown but they may have been timber treatment or maturing ponds. The earthen banked ponds were found during the survey to be 10m long x 0.75 m wide x 1m deep with a flat area to the west. Other details: Site 104.
