Site of a large rectangular reservoir shown on 19C maps. The 1867 map shows a leat from Hele Farm feeding the pond from the north with another leat going round the northern & western sides. The survey found the boundary banks around the reservoir were up to 2m high with the leat 0.6m wide x 0.2m deep. Other details: Site 118.

The 1857 Lease Map (Fig 7 in Buck 2005) shows a rectangular reservoir. All the other 19C maps show an almost rectangular feature with no indication of water although the leat to the north & west is shown (Figs 8,9,12&15 in Buck 2005). The OS 25" (1880s) map indicates rough pasture within the enclosure surrounded by steep banks.
