Full description
Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 100-101+Figs 8,9,15,16+38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.
Two reservoir ponds shown on 19C maps which probably served the dresssing floors at Wheal Anna Maria mine. The northern rhomboid-shaped reservoir c30m x c13m was found during the survey to have banks up to 1.75m high x 0.75m wide. A leat ran along the feature's northern bank parallel to the track (see PRN 71368). The southern c24m square reservoir at SX42457341 with sluices on the northern side was found to have banks up to 1.75m high x 0.75m wide & a leat (see PRN 71367) running south towards the arsenic works (see PRN 3865).
