Full description

Gent, T. H., 2005, Archaeological recording at Henscott, Bradford, 1-2, Figs 2,5, Pl 3-4 (Report - Watching Brief). SDV321861.

A watching brief was undertaken in 2004 during groundworks for new farm buildings at Henscott. Two pits were identified on the northern side of a terraced area to the north of the farm. The eastern pit predated the current field system & may have been of medieval or earlier origin. The fills suggested the presence of a former post or stone within the pit. The second pit was considered to be a modern feature.
