Site of 'Engine House' shown on OS 25" (1880s) map as a small rectangular building with a detached 'Chimney' to the east.

Site of Wheal Anna Maria winding engine house described in 1860. The 1857 Lease map of Devon Great Consols mine shows a building which may have contained the engine house, a boiler house, the detached chimney at SX42807363 & a miner's dry. The South Lode was accessed from this Engine Shaft to the west (see PRN 51099) which had a separate railway line. The survey in 2002 found the area overgrown with no evidence of the building.
