Full description
Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 126 Figs 15,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.
This site may be a shallow adit portal at Wheal Anna Maria mine but is not shown on 19C maps. The survey in 2002 found a possible adit lobby c12m long x 2m wide. Timber supports for a launder or tramline were found between SX42627343 & SX42607341 which may relate to the railway line (see PRN 71373) or the 1920's works. The supports may relate to copper precipitation from the adit portal. Other details: Sites 170,171.
