Full description
Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 129,132-3, Fig 38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.
Adit portal not shown on 19C maps at Devon Great Consols which probably drained the mine & provided a means of removing ore from the lode. The survey in 2002 found a blocked adit with a lobby 4m long x 1.8m wide with spoil heaps 3.5m long x 4m high x 2m wide on both sides. A long narrow area of lode back pits was found to the east of the adit from SX41787317 to SX42107319. Other details: Sites 179 & 181.
