Site of a triangular reservoir pond shown on the 1867 & later maps which may have fed the ponds to the west (see PRN 42209). The main function of the pond appears to have been as a water source for the Agnes's Shaft water wheel powered whim engine. An 'Aqueduct' was shown on the OS (1884) map running east from the pond to a wheelpit at SX43407362. The survey in 2002 found the pond had banked walls up to 2m high. The aqueduct line was marked by a linear 1m wide area of broken ground from the pond to the wheelpit site which was marked by a grassed mound up to 1.8m high. Other details: Sites 246 & 247.
