Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 171-2, Figs 21,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Shallow adit shaft on the Main Lode at Wheal Emma mine. The survey in 2002 found the shaft 2.5m diameter & open for 3.5m. The adit roof appeared to have collapsed to the north for 10m x 0.45m wide. An adit portal to the northwest at SX43577366 had a visible collapse 2m x 2m. A track drain portal further north at SX43567380 was stone faced with an opening 4m wide x 1.2m high. Other details: Sites 250,251,252.
