Full description
Wilson, B, 18/11/2015, Ivybridge Markers (Report - Survey). SDV359286.
Boundary Stone half buried by roadworks but ILB visible.
Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey (Cartographic). SDV848.
'Stone' shown on OS 25" (1880s) map on the north side of the road. A 'Stone' is shown on the 2000 DCC Digital Mapping on the south side of the road. Other details: Also on 2000 mapping.

Site visit 16th July 2004. Boundary stone erected circa 1873 about 30 metre to the east of Springwood Close against the wall on the old A38 road. The sunken stone in poor condition is inscribed 'ILB' (Ivybridge Local Board). The board was set up by four parishes to tackle the problem of sewage. There are other ILB stones set up around the town.
