Full description

Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 187 Figs 22,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.

Reservoir pond shown on 19C maps at Wheal Emma mine which appears to have provided water for the steam pumping engine at Thomas's Shaft (see PRN 56093) & helped to fill other ponds at Wheal Emma via an aqueduct. The survey in 2002 found the pond extant with 1.2m high banks. A 3m wide opening had been cut into the western corner. Other details: Site 285.
