Rectangular pond c43m long x c19m wide shown on OS 25" (1880s) map at Wheal Emma mine.

Large rectangular pond shown on 19C maps appears to have been a condensing pond supplying water to the winding engine house boiler at Incline Shaft at Wheal Emma mine. The survey in 2002 found the extant pond c4m deep at the east end & c1.5m deep at the west end. The bank rises to 1.18m with a retaining wall next to the incline. Other details: Sites 296,296/1.
