Features associated with the 'Lower' 1940 Copper Precipitation Works of South Fanny mine at SX42977290 included a building at the above NGR, a kiln or furnace at SX42907287 & timber precipitation launders from SX42867286 to SX42957291. The 1954 OS map shows a small number of buildings but the site of the wheelpit was not shown. The survey in 2002 found little evidence for the precipitation works. The building was partly roofed with a chimney set in the northern face. Remains of the brick kiln or furnace are 3.5m long x 2m wide x 0.6m high. A 80m section of the Great Leat was used for the timber precipitation launders. Other details: Sites 326,326/1,326/2,326/3.
