Full description
Buck, C., 2002, Devon Great Consols: Archaeological Assessment, 209 Figs 26,38 (Report - Assessment). SDV241758.
Site of two adits at South Fanny mine. One is labelled on the OS (1884) map as 'Sluice' & was found during the survey to have collapsed to c 0.3m high. The second adit or shaft which does not appear on the 19C maps was located at SX42947292. The 5m diameter feature with a small mound in the centre may indicate a blocked adit or a blocked shaft.
