Five worn bronze coins of Augustus found in Retreat Field before 1985, sold by Whitton and Laing, 21/06/1985, and bought by Exeter Museum. Such coins did circulate in small numbers in the early years after the Roman conquest but a series of this sort could only have been formed by individual selection. Other details: 19.
